So.. those of you who dabble heavily on the electronics side of gameboys, exploring pin outs and functionality of the PCBs.. is there any conceivable method for replacing the stock LCD with a modern backlit LCD? I've seen videos (timbob?) of video out from super gameboy to the DMG's LCD, and I believe another video showing the LCD PCB of the DMG outputting video to a MGB screen.

Game Boy Repair. The Game Boy released on April 21, 1989 in Japan, followed by North America on July 31, 1989, and lastly in Europe on September 28, 1990. It is characterized by a large grey casing and model number DMG-01. Feb 06, 2020 How to Fix a Black Login Screen on Windows 7. This wikiHow teaches how to troubleshoot a black screen after logging into Windows 7, otherwise known as the Black Screen of Death (KSOD). Sadly, like the video says, there is no source for replacement DMG screen. Our only option is taking one from another DMG. I hope someone comes in here and proves me wrong as I have a DMG in need of a screen and I can't find one. Sep 23, 2018 Sadly, like the video says, there is no source for replacement DMG screen. I know nothing of the requisites behind powering a modern LCD, or the difficulty in making the appropriate signal connections from the old old gameboy to modern LCD form factors, but It would obviously be really really cool.
So I guess I'm just curious what limitations or difficulties or impossibilities there are to this.

Edit: I'm not suggesting this can even be done. But I would like to see some enlightening discussion. Dance, monkeys!
